The paper titled, In-plane electrical bias tunable optical properties of 1T-TaS₂, reports our discovery of electrical tunability of optical properties or photo-refractive properties of a strongly correlated material, 1T-TaS₂, exhibiting charge density waves. Large refractive index change of about 0.1 is observed with an in-plane AC or DC bias!
